If you have read my previous post you will know that this has been a rough week for Todd and I. I do not understand why we have had so much loss this past year. But I do know that God has a reason for everything that he does.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal,a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend,a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

With all the heartache we have experienced this week, we also have experienced incredible joy. We learned a few things about ourselves this week, and one of them is we are a dog family. We do not have kids so our dogs have been like our kids. Our house just felt to empty with out a furry little friend running around.

So without further ado, Meet Brinkly!!!

Life does not always make sense. Things happen that we will never understand. Our hearts fall in love and contain so much joy and then our hearts can be shattered into a million pieces within a split second. This past week was supposed to be full of camping, elk hunting and eating yummy camp food. Well, as we all know each day we are given is precious and we never know what the next one holds. Monday, September 13th, 2010 we lost our precious boxer, Fancy.

Todd gave me Fancy as my Christmas Present in December of 2005. She had this cute little peanut head, and was so lovable right from the start. She was the runt of her litter and we always called her a miniature boxer, she only weighed 45 pounds!! She was a unique dog, she was so silly all the time. She would curl up in a little ball and sleep right up against you all night long. She also loved to go back to bed, we would get up in the morning and if we could not find her it was because she was back sleeping on HER king size bed.

Unlike our Roxy, she loved the tennis ball. You can ask anyone that has ever met Fancy if you started throwing the tennis ball you better be prepared to just give up your afternoon. Todd used to pick her up like a baby and carry her all around, and she never minded it one bit. There are too many things to say about this amazing dog.

Thank you to all our friends and family for making her life full of love and joy! She had some great pet sitters through out the years - Tishy, Brittni, and Elexis. Amazing friends, Seth, Drew and Devyn. Thank you Todd for giving me the best present I could have asked for, and even though our time was cut short with her, I would not have traded it for anything!!

We love you Fancy and you will never be forgotten!!!!
